Keyboard & Mouse Recording

Interface:

How to Use

Once recording starts, move your cursor to the grey area—the software will capture every key press and release from your keyboard and mouse.

Move your mouse to the left side of the window to finish recording. If you added any mouse movement, you can double-click to edit

Adding Delay

Add a delay between different key presses

Click the small triangle next to the Start Key Log button to insert a delay between key events.

Hold a key for a set time

Useful in games that require you to hold a key for a specific duration to trigger inputs.

By default the link press and release key very fast

Press the key you need to hold, for example, space here.

Set the output state to Hold.

Add a delay

Change the output state back to Press Once

Adding Mouse Movement

Absolute Position

The add mouse movement window will float above your game

Relative Movement

Move your mouse a certain distance relative to its current location

Four Output States

Key status is related to similarity settings. You can click to check more details.

Press Once

When your pose is recognized (e.g., similarity above 98%), a single recorded key action will be performed.

Hold

When you maintain your pose, the key will stay held down

Multiple Keys Held Down

If you record several keys being pressed at the same time before releasing, all keys will be held.

If you pressed keys one after another, then choose Hold, only the last key will be held.

Press Again (Toggle)

Press Again means the key is pressed once when you make the pose, and again when you release the pose.

Example: Raise both hands in front of you to open the map, lower both hands to close the map.

You can delete the "M" after and replace it with any other action.

For more about pose that toggles press and release of keys, Check out Similarity

Using "Press Again" cleverly can achieve many unexpected effects.

Spam (Rapid Fire)

While you hold the pose, the recorded key or mouse command will be rapidly repeated—just like you’re spamming a key.

Spam + Mouse Relative Movement

When you add relative mouse movement and use "Spam", the mouse will continuously move in one direction. If the duration is set to the minimum (0.01), movement can be too fast and appear choppy. Increasing the duration will smooth the movement but also add inertia. Adjust the duration slightly. The "MoveRel X, Y" values determine the speed (and direction) for horizontal and vertical movement.

Other Issues:

Key Not Responding in Game

Make sure the output is going to the game window. Sometimes you might just forget to switch to the game after recording.

The Link’s driver may not be installed correctly. Try reinstalling the driver and restarting your computer.

In rare cases, some software may conflict with The Link. Try closing other programs running in the background.

Avoid Using Left Ctrl

Holding the left Ctrl key enables floating window interaction. The Link swaps the left and right Ctrl keys by default. If your game requires left Ctrl, please use the right Ctrl instead.

Key Not Fully Recorded (Only Pressed, Not Released)

Mouse must hover over the grey area while recording. If you press with mouse inside and release with mouse outside the grey area, it may only register the key down event.

Some software or Windows shortcuts might conflict with The Link’s recording

The software is designed for standard keyboard layouts; certain special keyboards (like Apple Magic Keyboard, Dvorak, or non-English layouts) may not be fully supported.
