Hold the Left Ctrl key to interact with the floating window (drag, minimize, close, etc.)

Please note the following:

The floating window remembers its last position when you close it and will reopen in the same spot next time.

It does not remember size changes made by dragging.

To set the default window size for each launch, click the small window icon below the camera icon on the main interface and choose a preferred default size.

⚠️ Since holding the left Ctrl enables floating window interaction, avoid using Left Ctrl as a hotkey in-game. You can use the Right Ctrl key in The Link, works the same in most MMORPG

Floating Window Not Appearing Over the Game?

The Link's floating window is designed to appear over most games.However, some fullscreen games force themselves to the top layer, hiding the floating window.

Solution:

Switch the game to borderless windowed mode, then click Go again to restart motion capture.

Window Visibility

As the name suggests, this controls how transparent the floating window appears over your game:

Higher values = Higher visibility,more like a real webcam feed (you’ll need to disable the silhouette to see the effect).

Recommended for beginners to keep enabled throughout.

Once familiar, you can turn it off to reduce visual clutter.

Show Pressed Keys

When enabled, the floating window will display which keys The Link has triggered.

Highly recommended for beginners—it helps confirm if an output was successfully triggered.

How to Show Camera/Floating Window Separately for Streaming or Recording

Usually, the simplest method is to record your desktop or display directly.

Alternatively, you can record only The Link’s motion capture window and the game separately—for vertical videos or custom post-processing.

In your streaming software:

Select Window Capture, then choose “Portal from Masonx”.

The floating window will detect the capture and automatically output a solid (non-transparent) camera feed to your streaming software.

Theoretically, the recommended Stream or Video configuration is:

Adjust the window to the maximum resolution.

Set Visibility to 0

Disable show key press

Disable the Player position Guide

This allows your capture software to receive a 720p motion capture feed, while the fully transparent floating window won’t interfere with your gameplay.

You can monitor your position and actions directly in the streaming software while playing.
